Electro‑Voice engineers leading‑edge sound reinforcement solutions with products designed to provide best‑in‑class performance, reliability and value. The black Electro Voice ZLX-15P-US 15 ' Two-Way Powered Loudspeaker is a compact and versatile loudspeaker featuring custom engineered drivers in a rugged enclosure. The loudspeaker features a grille made of 18-gauge steel with black powder coat.

The following is additional information about Electro-Voice ten-inch speakers used in electric guitar amplifiers. It turns out that (at least some) generic, OEM, 12-pound, Electro-Voice ten-inch speakers used in some Fender and other amps in the 1980’s (e.g., Super Champs) may have a pair of identification numbers (I previously overlooked) ink-stamped on the black frame members (where they can be difficult to spot).

The numbers on ones I’ve seen so far are: 18100276 and an individual number that changes from speaker to speaker, like “8829” or “8750.” At least some of these speakers seem to lack the stamped numbers altogether (perhaps because they were worn off). Taylor Electronic Services Inc., of Canada, maintains a spreadsheet of repair information about Electro-Voice speakers (). In it, they associate the model number 1810-0276 with an “ EVI-10” speaker. The only other speaker in that spreadsheet with an “1810-0_ _ _” model number is a Force 10.

This suggests that (a) “EVI-10” was the model name for these generic ten-inch speakers, (b) the EVI-10 and Force 10 were closely related (as seems obvious), but (c) the EVI-10 may be somewhat different from the Force 10 and distinctly different than heavier (18-pound) EVM models (see below). Within the first seven- or eight-digit number the “10” signifies ten-inch, as many 12-inch speakers listed in that spreadsheet have either “812-” or “1812-” prefixes. However, what do the second four numbers of the model number mean specifically? And why do some models (e.g., Force 10; EVI-10) have more than one model number? Furthermore, what are EVM-10 (lacking any letter designation) speakers?
